SEANATION CUP

10–16 July 2027 | La Trinité-sur-Mer, France

Seanation CUP is all about proper competitive yacht racing: an exciting one-design fleet, demanding waters and an intense racing programme.

Racing like this needs wind, dramatic scenery, waves and currents — and the Bay of Biscay has them all. After many years of holding the regatta in the Solent, we are moving to France.

Quiberon Bay, on France’s Atlantic coast, offers excellent racing conditions in a wide range of weather. On its shores lies La Trinité-sur-Mer, one of the legendary centres of French sailing, alongside La Rochelle.

The regatta will be sailed in a one-design fleet of Archambault Grand Surprise yachts.

The Grand Surprise is a classic 32-foot Bermuda-rigged sloop with a spacious cockpit and an inboard engine, designed for a crew of six to eight people.

Its 2.05-metre draught and powerful bulb keel make the yacht stable, responsive and manageable for sailors with different levels of experience. Its lightweight performance hull and generous sail plan deliver rapid acceleration and excellent speed both upwind and downwind.

Every team will have a two-hour spinnaker-handling session on the first training day. Two further coaching sessions will take place during race week, led by two highly accomplished professional sailors and coaches.

At Seanation CUP ’27, before you know it, you may find yourself flying at 15 knots under a huge spinnaker in one of the world’s most spectacular and technically demanding sailing areas.

Key facts

  1. One-design fleet of Archambault Grand Surprise yachts
  2. Two-hour spinnaker-handling session on the first day
  3. Two further sessions with top-level coaches during race week
  4. Three to five races per day, plus one coastal race
  5. Professional on-the-water race management

A genuinely competitive sailing regatta — exactly what we have been missing.

Double-Handed Offshore Championship

4–11 September 2027 | Marseille, France

Our newest project — and already one of our favourites — is one we have very high hopes for.

The championship will take place for the first time in 2027, but we are confident that this is only the beginning.

Double-handed offshore racing is the area of sailing that excites us most. Its rapid growth around the world shows that we are far from alone.

Fast yet relatively affordable boats, no need to recruit and organise a full crew, straightforward training and an endless sense of excitement — this is what double-handed offshore racing is all about.

And because everyone competes in identical boats, there is no need for IRC or ORC handicap systems: just pure, fair, boat-for-boat racing.

The championship will be sailed in a one-design fleet of Sun Fast 30 One Design yachts.
